At a recent press conference hosted by MotorWereld Magazine at the Brussels Motor Show the BMW K1600GT was declared the 2011 International Bike of the Year. In fact, three BMW bikes made the top five. Fourth place went to the more luxurious K1600GTL, while fifth place went to last year’s Bike of the Year, the S1000RR. This marks the first time in over 10 years that the same manufacturer has won the coveted award back to back.

The International Bike of the Year (IBOTY) jury praised the BMW K1600GT as “blending comfort, performance and the excellent use of innovative technology.
